Dance if you Want to leave Your friends behind

Sorry my blog friends it has been so very long since i've blogged on this page. I've been having a wonderful time living here in Northern Virginia. Two weeks ago Brittany and I went to New York City, Manhattan. If you would like to see pictures please visit the trip log blog. here www.triplogblog.blogspot.com

I am coming home to Utah In exactly three weeks from today, and even though I quit my job early I will not be coming home early for two reasons. One: I do not have the money to spend on changing my return ticket, and two: I want one final trip to VA Beach before we go.

All in all I think I've grown a bit here in the DC area, I understand how life gives you a handful of decisions, and you must choose them at risk but the reward is great for choosing the right. I am learning to get over some of my fears, like calling strangers, doing adult things on my own, saving money and learning to cope with expenses, I've also learned that friends and family are the hearts contentment no money could ever buy.

Here are some random photos, like I've said before and i'll say again I would much rather express myself through visuals.

Mad World

Brittany and I have a theory that we are the YouTube generation. When you first meet someone and you don't know very much about them it is inevitable that youtube will come up in conversation, whether it's a funny video or music video. It is a perfect icebreaker it allows both parties to get a feel for the others music tastes, thier type of humor and various other facts about them (possibly what movies they watch and if they are offended by swearing or not.) Here is a YouTube, and the Recreation by Brittany, Lindsey and Me.Then Watch this!

Lights and Music are on my Mind

Lately Brittany and I have liked to mess around with exposures and lights in our photos, here are some examples. If you'd like to see more of my photography, click on "my photography" on the side of my page.

I'm really loving it out here when I'm not thinking about making enough money for rent and job hunting. Yesterday I had my first emotional/ homesick break down, but thus resolved to brighten up a bit because this will be the only chance I'll have to live out here for free and it's summer! what more could I ask for. So I'm going to make the best of a job I don't love and make to most of living here.

Philadelphia Italian

I've landed a job that screams summer..... it also screams dirty, shady, sticky, rip off, germ breeding ground and chazzy. Welcome to the images.

I've been working here for a week and a half, i have a tip jar that states "starving student fund". besides sitting and yelling at people to come try a free sample here are some usual questions i get and conversations i have.
1. are you Italian?
2. are you from Philly?
3. do you make this yourself?
4. are you single?
conversations
1. where are you from? -utah- They always apologize
2. where do you go to school? -utah- they are always intrigued

perks
I've been asked out three times, I've been told i'm gosh-damn gorgeous, I've gotten tips (not just the money kind). and someone bought me a chair and a pepsi, if thats not hitting on my i don't know what is.
